We were starting to think this engagement session wasn’t going to happen! Between rainy weather and sick littles, their wedding day was fast approaching with no engagement photos yet. It turned out to be well worth the wait! We had beautiful, cool weather for Rachel and Mike’s engagement session at Marian Coffin Gardens, and some pretty gorgeous light too! I’m feeling some Beauty and the Best vibes here, wouldn’t you agree?

Any engagement session at Marian Coffin Gardens is pretty much my favorite. The beautiful stone work against the bright rose gardens and greenery are stunning and create a perfect location for photographs. All the texture of the stone and foliage is just to die for.

I first met Rachel and Mike last fall when they booked a fall family session with me. It was a bright, chilly day in Wilmington and we tried everything to get their daughter to smile. Now fast forward a year, I am gearing up to photograph their big day! It’s been a pleasure getting to know them and have the honor to capture one of the happiest days of their lives. It’s only a few days away and I’m ready to burst with joy for this little family! Hopefully their daughter will give me some sweet smiles when it comes time for her photos!

I love seeing my clients so happy and in love with one another. Their session was effortless; you really can’t fake love like this. I’m obsessing over every bit of this session, from their outfits, to their emotion, and to that gorgeous light peaking through the trees. The weather is looking just as good for their wedding day, which will be in the gorgeous historic town of Odessa. This fairytale is only going to continue then!

I’m sure their wedding will be just as effortless too! Rachel and Mike, thank you again for trusting me with capturing your big day. All the stress will be totally worth it. Besides, at the end of the day, as long as you have each other, you’re golden.
