Acadia National Park Elopement // Otter Cliffs, Maine
OTTER CLIFFS ELOPEMENT
Sandee and Michael knew a traditional wedding wasn’t for them. There’s no other place that feels quite like home to them than Maine, so it became their destination for their vows. With their Acadia National Park elopement plans in full swing, all they had to do was set a date and plan the day exactly as they wanted. With so many picturesque spots in Acadia, nailing down a spot to elope is tough! After much debate, they finally decided on an Otter Cliffs elopement and I think it was the best choice!
I photographed one of Sandee’s coworkers wedding in 2020, and that’s how she stumbled upon little ol me!! My buddy at Flagship Studios came along as well to capture their elopement on video, too! I have always wanted to photograph elopements in National Parks, so elated was an understatement!! We looked at our calendars and settled on October 13th, a Wednesday and peak fall season in Acadia National Park. I’ve ever been to Maine, but I can see why Sandee and Michael love it so much.

GETTING READY IN BAR HARBOR, MAINE
They began their day getting ready in their suite in Bar Harbor. Sandee and Michael made sure they turned their elopement into a mini vacation! They spent the week in Bar Harbor, Maine and hiked, explored local shops, and more. This might be my favorite thing about eloping! Instead of just one big party, you and your best friend get to spend time together in a beautiful place and enjoy all kinds of activities in the area.
Once they were ready, they shared a private first look on their balcony overlooking the water in Bar Harbor. Having that private moment made them both so excited for the rest of their day!

OTTER CLIFFS ELOPEMENT
After their first look, we all made our way to Otter Cliffs. Their sweet officiant, Beth, made their day so much more special too! She’s truly so kind and put all her heart into marrying them. Together, Sandee and Michael shared their vows, performed a hand tying ceremony, and become the new Mr. + Mrs. McCann! I don’t think they could have asked for a better day!

We hung out around Otter Cliffs for a bit to take some dreamy photos, which I am over the moon for!! The color, the landscape, these two, oh my gosh, TOO GOOD! I spent the day prior scouting alternate locations in Acadia National Park for us to venture to. Even though the park is typically always busy, it being a weekday made things a bit more accessible. The locations I found were to die for and I’m suuuuper happy we were able to hit them all!
Sandee and Michael truly had the most magical Acadia National Park elopement! I’m so thankful they had me along for such a special milestone. Congrats you two!!
