I wish I had video footage of me getting Dara + John’s wedding inquiry. I’m pretty sure I audibly screamed because I could immediately tell they were 100% my kinda people. They’re fellow pup parents, love a few brewskis, and are planning their Til Death inspired Asbury Biergarten wedding! I am a big fan of the Til Death wedding trend so to have it paired with Asbury Park, I was sold. Asbury Park is my favorite shore town and one of the coolest places to get married! Not to mention, Dara and John are basically two of the chillest people on the planet. They were ready to get married and have an epic celebration!

Before the festivities began, Dara got ready at the Asbury Ocean Club and John got ready at The Asbury. I love how everything was all within Asbury Park, it made traveling a breeze and we got to use the beautiful boardwalk for portraits. They both couldn’t wait to see each other for their first look, and thankfully they had a GORGEOUS day!

One of my favorite moments from the morning is Dara’s first look with her parents. The tears get me every time! These moments are so special on wedding days and photograph beautifully.

First Look at The Ocean Club

Once ready, John came over to The Ocean Club to have their first look! You guys, when I tell you this is one of the sweetest moments EVER! A few tears were shed and they shared letters with one another, and it was perfect.

If you’re getting married in Asbury Park, you won’t have any shortage of cool locations for wedding photos! The whole town and boardwalk is an art lovers dream with murals, fun buildings, and more! We mapped out where we wanted to go ahead of their day to make the most of our time. All of us hopped in the car and Dara’s dad drove us over to the Asbury Carousel House to take some fun portraits of Dara and John. The weather, lighting, everything was on our side!

Wedding Photos at The Asbury

We came back to The Asbury Hotel to reconvene for family portraits and wedding party portraits. I’m still not over these fun wedding party photos! The whole group is so full of energy and SO stylish in champagne gold and black.

Rooftop Ceremony at Asbury Biergarten

One of my favorite aspects of Dara and John’s wedding is the fact that they had a rooftop ceremony! The sun sets right behind the ceremony space and makes the dreamiest light for your ceremony. The venue itself is very industrial and I’m in love with how they decorated for their wedding. Their Til Death styled wedding included deep fall colors with an emphasis on black and I’m so here for it.

And last but not least, it’s time to party! Oh my gosh what an incredible reception! Everyone got a shot of blackberry brandy during Dara and John’s welcome speech. It’s a tradition for her family and they knew they had to include it in their day. They partied the night away and had a blast, and finished the evening with hand pies from their favorpite Philly pie maker! I will be obsessed with Dara + John’s Asbury wedding “til death”!!
