Grace and John originally planned for a 2021 wedding, but the pandemic made things a little more difficult than they would have liked. They had to postpone the celebration to 2022 but that didn’t stop them from having the best day ever. Since they were doing things their way, everyone worked out wonderfully and I’m OBSESSED with their day! Their Brantwyn Estate wedding couldn’t have been more stunning and fit their vibe perfectly!
Their day began in their own home! Grace got ready at their house and John came by once she was fully dressed. They had their intimate first look in their own living room and I have never loved something more. Having them share this moment in the space is *chef’s kiss*. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain their entire wedding day, but we still made some absolutely stunning art that I’m in love with. I know Grace and John are too and now their home has even that much more significance for them.
From there, we headed to their church ceremony at St. Michaels Orthodox Church. Grace said the most important part of their day was their Greek Orthodox ceremony and wanted alllll the photos from it. Even though they were so excited for the celebration at Brantwyn Estate, their knew their marriage was centered on the ceremony.
From there, we were off to Brantwyn Estate. This is my first time at this Delaware wedding venue and I truly love the simple elegance of it. It’s part of the DuPont history, so it’s full of character and was once home to their family. I had NO idea how incredible their reception was going to look! Thurman and Fig brought Grace’s vision to life and I’m forever obsessed. It’s like seeing clouds of flowers cascading across a room
If you take anything away from this blog post, it’s to have a band play at your wedding! They get the crowd going in a way I can’t explain. This reception could not have been more fun! Everyone was up and dancing and made for the most incredible evening. I know Grace and John were over the moon to finally have their loved ones gathered in the same room to party. I love these two and this incredible day so much, and can’t wait to see where life takes the new Koehlers!
