Jess + Jasen’s beautiful Downtown Club wedding is a favorite from the early, pre-COVID 2020 wedding season! These two are total sweethearts and they had quite mild March weather for their day, lucky them! Which is so funny to say, considering they were married on Friday the 13th! It was my first time at this Cescaphe wedding venue, as well as my first time working with Leah Coppotelli, so truly just a perfect day all around. I’m grateful this sweet soul had me join her on this day, because it was just what I needed creatively.
Philadelphia holds a very special place in my heart. I lived just off of South Broad Street for years while I was in college. So when Leah told me their wedding was in the heart of Old City, I did a little happy dance at the prospect of doing my favorite thing in my favorite city. Just know, future brides + grooms, I will ALWAYS happily go to Philadelphia. Seriously, no begging required.
There’s so much history in that city, everywhere you turn yields something new to discover. Jess + Jasen really love the Old City architecture (and I mean, same), so they had their first look at the Merchant’s Exchange Building. They shared a sweet, quiet moment together there before heading off to the get married! From there, we headed to The First Bank of the United States and the surrounding area for more portraits. Their Downtown Club wedding is just a few short blocks from all these lovely spots, so it made for the best Philadelphia wedding. I really loved their classic take on their wedding day, and the party sure did not disappoint either!
All in all, Jess + Jasen’s Downtown Club wedding made me swoon and I’m forever thankful I got to shoot it with a dear friend. Enjoy some favorites from my perspective!
