Fall Wedding Thousand Acre Farm | DE Wedding Photographer

I very clearly remember Mikayla’s first email she sent me. She was ecstatic to be marrying Andrew and it was evident with every word. They’re both firefighters, big criers, and dog parents. Oh, and she mentioned how her horse, Rosie, was going to pull them in a carriage. Um, what?! Talk about fairy tale wedding ideas. I couldn’t wait for their day to get here, and their fall wedding at Thousand Acre Farm was nothing short of amazing. They poured their heart into every detail and made it so personal to the two of them.

This isn’t my first Thousand Acre Farm wedding, but definitely one of the most unique. Like I said, all the personal touches really reflected their relationship. My favorite touch is their wedding favors! Those little treat bags for your pups is speaking right to my dog mama heart. I’ve never seen a couple do this, but I’d loooove to see more of it!

Mikayla was so surprised to see the notes to her on the bottom of her shoes and burst into tears when she flipped them over. I had fair warning from her that they were both criers, and it was so sweet to see every time. Mikayla + Andrew’s first look is probably one of the most emotional moments of their whole day. Andrew’s eyes filled with tears when he saw his beautiful bride, and he took her into his arms to soak up the moment with her. Guys, I cannot deal with how in love they are. My heart explodes every time I look at these images, and I know they cherish them so much.

Mikayla + Andrew married by the water in a tear-jerking ceremony, then rode off in their carriage! Everyone was ready to party at the reception and we couldn’t wait to document the night. There’s always some point at weddings that I cry. Well, I straight sobbed into my camera when Andrew’s daughter made a surprise appearance after the first dances! Andrew shared a first dance with her and I don’t think anyone had a dry eye. It’s so heartwarming to see these families come together as one. I loved getting to know these two and documenting their special day. Congrats again, Mikayla and Andrew!! Enjoy some favorites from their fall wedding at Thousand Acre Farms!

Rebecca somehow made us both relaxed and produced absolute magic! She instructed us while still making the photos look candid, reliably captured our "good sides," and brought her unique eye for lighting and settings (pro tip: do whatever she says even if it seems funny or in a different location; it will look utterly amazing). Photos can be an investment and I'm glad we did the research and found the perfect photographer for us.
