Longwood Gardens Maternity Session

You probably remember this beautiful face from a past blog post. I met Val + Ricky at Elise + Daniel’s wedding and saw her beam with pride as her brother married his beautiful fiance. I’m pretty sure I squealed when she told me she was expecting, and even more when she said she wanted a maternity with me! That’s how their beautiful Longwood Gardens maternity session was born! It’s another favorite from my 2019 season and it gives me all the feels.

I love this little family. I’m sure Val has her hands full now with two boys, but she’s going to experience that much more love from them both. You can’t tell in most of these photos, but oh my goodness, the WIND. I think we picked the windiest day on record. Thankfully we got to use the conservatory and saved ourselves from being toppled over. I think this is the perfect spot for a Longwood Gardens maternity session, it’s super versatile and teeming with plant life.

On another note, can you even with the photos of RJ and his mama?! RJ really is just a cutest little guy. He got SO into having his photo taken, I’m still impressed. I know he’s going to be one awesome big brother and show the new little guy the ropes. I’m sure Val is feeling all the love now that her second babe is earthside! That’s 3 boys who love her wholeheartedly, and all the hugs and kisses she could possibly need. Congratulations Val, Ricky, and RJ!! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for your sweet family!

She instructed us while still making the photos look candid, reliably captured our "good sides," and brought her unique eye for lighting and settings (pro tip: do whatever she says even if it seems funny or in a different location; it will look utterly amazing). Photos can be an investment and I'm glad we did the research and found the perfect photographer for us.
