Sunflower Field Engagement Session | DE Engagement Photographer

Jessica and I go waaaaay back. I’m talking grade school, okay? I still vividly remember our classes together, especially gym class and how we both hated the sweaty aftermath of the fitness circuit. Now fast forward to today, and Jessica and Thomas are getting married! Their summer wedding at The Farm at Eagle’s Ridge will be bursting with sunflowers, so it was only fitting to have a sunflower field engagement session!

Somehow Jessica and I both ended up in Delaware after high school. It’s really such a small world! This field was a bit of a hike for us, so they met me at my house and we headed down together. It was so great to catch up with Jessica and meet Thomas beforehand. It felt like no time had passed at all since we last saw each other.

I freaking LOVE these two! They compliment each other perfectly. All those hearty laughs? Those are completely authentic and it makes me the happiest photographer ever. There’s nothing like letting go and just being your goofy selves for engagement pictures.

Also, they brought their two perfect fur children and made signs for them. That sealed the deal for me in terms of a perfect day. Daisy and Okemo are SO happy for their humans and it shows. How sweet are their faces? It definitely took some time and persuasion to get them to look at me, but it’s okay. I expect nothing less from pups, and it’s worth it in the end.

All in all, this is haaaaands down a favorite of mine and I’m so excited to have it on the blog now! I’m eagerly counting down the days to their wedding date, it’s going to be such a good one. But for now, enjoy their sunflower field engagement session!

Rebecca somehow made us both relaxed and produced absolute magic! She instructed us while still making the photos look candid, reliably captured our "good sides," and brought her unique eye for lighting and settings (pro tip: do whatever she says even if it seems funny or in a different location; it will look utterly amazing). Photos can be an investment and I'm glad we did the research and found the perfect photographer for us.
