Buckle up for Nichol + Tylar’s incredible proposal! Tylar sent me an email with his idea to propose to his longtime girlfriend while on vacation in Lewes, Delaware. He sounded so sweet and excited from his email, I couldn’t wait to help make this moment even more special for them. This surprise proposal in Cape Henlopen is truly an all time favorite of mine! Every proposal quickly becomes a favorite, they’re always so special and SO much fun!

If you’ve read my past proposal blogs, you know I’m allllll about creating an elaborate scheme to pull it off. Sometimes I’ve been able to just hide without any scheme, but this one needed a little extra hand in it. I had a friend come with me to “shoot with”, when in reality she was there to help spot Tylar + Nichol, and shoot some behind the scenes of the whole thing! I told Tylar I was going to pretend that our couple was a no show, would conveniently spot their beach date night, and offer to snap a few fun photos for them. Right place, right time riiiiight?

In reality, it was all a big set up to the proposal! Nichol was on board with taking a few photos, and had NO idea what was about to happen. If you look veeery closely in the first couple shots, you can see the ring hanging out on Tylar’s finger! Nichol was SO surprised and even shed a few sweet tears as she realized what was happening. I’ve done a bunch of Delaware beach proposals, but every single one is sweeter than the last.

We took the time to shoot some fun *engagement* photos afterward, and these two could NOT stop smiling! They’re truly some of the best people I’ve met, they are so fun, loving, and sweet. That comes to life in their photos and ya girl cannot WAIT for all the fun of their Jamaica wedding next year!! I’m looking forward to the beautiful celebration and seeing all the love surround them!
