Killens Pond State Park Family Session | Delaware Family Photographer | Vandewater Family

If you watch my page, you’ve seen Tristan grow in front of my lens for the past year. I’ve captured his growth every three months for his first year, and now he is one. Honestly, I’m still in shock. Where did a whole year ago, and who let this guy get so big? Their Killens Pond State Park family session was nothing short of adorable, full of sweet laughters, gorgeous outfits, and one little meltdown from Tristan himself. After all, it’s his party, and he’ll cry if he wants to.

I’m grateful to have met the Vandewaters. They’re one of my favorite families to photograph, and we have tons of infectious laughter at every session. They’re so easy to get along with and are totally open to whatever crazy ideas I have. I think I mentioned it before, but Christie never disappoints with outfits. I’ll sometimes get a giddy message from her with her next session outfit, and I can’t say I don’t enable her. They’re a drop dead gorgeous family! I can’t tell you how amazing it is knowing my art decorates the walls in their new house. I’ve been so honored to capture their pride and joy over the past year.

Christie will tell you I’m not ever allowed to leave Delaware. With friends like these, I don’t think I’ll ever want to.

Rebecca somehow made us both relaxed and produced absolute magic! She instructed us while still making the photos look candid, reliably captured our "good sides," and brought her unique eye for lighting and settings (pro tip: do whatever she says even if it seems funny or in a different location; it will look utterly amazing). Photos can be an investment and I'm glad we did the research and found the perfect photographer for us.
